Calypso

Calypso

“Calypso” is a purpose built sports fishing vessel, built tough for the rugged Australian conditions. She is 14.3 metres (47ft) long and powered by twin Cummins QSM11 Diesel's. Fully air conditioned with all the modern conveniences and the latest electronics.

Captain Tim Dean and his Crew have a wealth of knowledge from years of experience in the fishing industry, not only will you catch plenty of fish, you will also be looked after by the best.

Black, Blue and Striped marlin fishing, big game fly fishing, sportsfishing between Port Stephens New South Wales just North of Sydney and Cairns / Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Captain Tim Dean and his crew on the “Calypso” are world leaders in all marlin fishing and spearfishing for marlin adventures. Deep sea fishing can be arranged on request for Nelson Bay and on the Great Barrier Reef.

Bounty Hunter

“Bounty Hunter ” is a 13 metre, (43 foot) O'Brien sportsfisherman, built to exacting standards to fish the waters of the Great Barrier Reef for Black Marlin. She is powered by twin Yanmar diesels and is fitted out with an array of the latest electronics and navigational equipment that gives a distinct advantage to the angler and crew. Fully air-conditioned, this vessel was designed with the anglers comfort in mind.

Captain Ross Finlayson is one of Australia;’s proven leading marlin and sportfishing captains providing professional game fishing charters from Cairns with consistent results for anglers all over the world. He has more than 30 years professional game fishing, with 15 years on the internationally renowned “Sea Baby IV” (7 years as deckhand for the legendary Capt Laurie Woodbrige and 20 plus years as Captain). In that time has guided his clients to numerous, large Black Marlin, world records, light tackle and heavy tackle tournament wins and hot fishing. He uses all the highest standard tackle including custom built Jack Erskine rods and Penn international reels. Ross is the saltwater light tackle and fly fishing expert.

At 14.5 metres (47 foot) and powered by twin 710 HP Caterpillar engines, “Gorilla” was purpose designed to fish the the Great Barrier Reef grounds like no other. She provides a standard of luxury accommodation commensurate with her sports fishing prowess. She boast state of the art navigation and communication systems.
